From the last blog I have posted , there have been a sea of changes from BCCI. And the answers have been apt to ICL's well orchestrated campaign.
BCCI announced its own version of T20 to counter ICL.
With BCCI's own version of "official" T20, a cat has been set among the pigeons. Likes of Brian Lara, Inzamam might be tempted to cross over to IPL both for respect, fame and money than the unrecognised version of T20.
ICL is grappling for to find answers as can be seen from Kapil Paji's interview on IBN Devil's Advocate . In the meantime they have also delayed ICL's start of T20 games for administrative reasons. Evidently there is much more under the hood of ICL.
If this was not enough, ICL has got a slam dung from "Dhoni Destroyers".
Now BCCI not only has tendulkars, gangulys in the fold but sharma's and pathan's to empathise with Gen X.
For now BCCI seems to have taken the initiative... Can ICL wrest the initiative back would interesting to see or will it concede a tame defeat.

Cricket Wars
When it comes to cricket war in Subcontinent every trick in book needs to be played to have the last laugh. That's exactly what ICL is upto.
Around 2 months back when ICL announced it's arrival few would have counted them in the reckoning. The news of ICL seemed to be another media balloon waiting to burst any moment or forgotten in ignominy. But ICL team seems to have done good homework before playing its cards.
Lets sit back a moment and analyse the proceedings to understand the gravity of my statement above..
Now the ball is in BCCI's court and lets see what it comes up with this time around other than answers on the expected lines of ICL, for which am sure they already have an answer.

Lets sit back a moment and analyse the proceedings to understand the gravity of my statement above..
- 1st the show of strength.. which showcased more than 40 top Ranji players alongside some international stars and officials having international reputation.
- Then they played the card of political backing, when ruling party's honourable railway minister pledged railway grounds for ICL games.
- With this came an expected backlash from BCCI throwing players out of BCCI for aligning with ICL. Also pushing employers of players to axe their employees for joining ICL.
ICL's answer was equally adept.. a Masterstroke public ligitation challenging "Threats given to players and stopping employers from axing players".
The answer I say it was a masterstroke because in one move it
a) Got an expected reliever from court,
b) Got court to look into "Monopolies and Restrictive Trade Practices" as BCCI is just another company as it itself has proclaimed so many times.
MRTPC orders inquiry
c) And even will make BCCI hand over grounds failing which they face MRTPC charges.
Now the ball is in BCCI's court and lets see what it comes up with this time around other than answers on the expected lines of ICL, for which am sure they already have an answer.
