Nation Under Seige

Mumbai is under siege and its been the first time I remember in my life time that army has been called in to flush out an unprecedented attack in the history of India.

The real concern is not about the attack but the nature of attack on the beloved Mumbai.

This attack symbolizes dawn of next level of terrorism in India.

This is really alarming for the citizens of India like me. The sole responsibility lies on the central government. But when I say the government is responsible, the people of India are the equal culprits.

For years together we have been caught up in the farcical debate of human rights and total rape of law and order in the name of secularism, privilege rights for politicians and the likes.

Its time we the citizens take a note of this attack and make it a point to vote a party with strong leadership to the core.

Its time the politicians too realise that the misuse of power that they are indulged in needs to be limited to not to cause a situation like this.

Here are some of the areas I feel why a situation like this has arisen:

a) Illegal Immigration from the east borders.
Illegal Immigration from east borders of nation has been a problem for decades and for long has been used by our politicians as vote bank. The immigration not only is a problem, because our enemies use these immigrants to implant terrorist but also they use it to pass in weapons used in such incidences.

b) Illegal Conversions
This has actually led to people been influenced to change their beliefs to understand what is right and what is wrong. The illegal conversions are equally a handy work of enemies.

c) Gross Misuse of Power
Involvement Illegal conversions, delay in bringing new laws, ducking law of the land and nexus with antisocial elements all has been regular business of people who are misusing power

d) Delay in Justice
the law and order system in india needs a really big overhaul, this is giving virtually free pass to anti social elements to indulge in their activities.

e) Delay in punishing those responsible
one of the biggest example is the terrorist who had been convicted of attack on parliament, has still not been hanged.

f) Weak government in the center
Probably we are in a time where terrorist attacks cant be avoided. But the nature of attack after every attack seems to be growing. This clearly indicates the government is either turning blind eye or is not very serious to tackle the problem. It is equally reflected from the fact that the prime minister who is in power for more than 4.5yrs; now talks about 100 day anti terror agenda for security officials. Interestingly it takes a PM to declare this agenda when he has his days in office numbered to only around 100 days.

g) Weak enforcement laws

There has been a strong demand for having stronger laws to tackle terrorism. And only reason for not having them is poor human rights record of previous similar laws. Where is the question of human rights involved when in absence of these laws are creating critical human right problem for the nation in form of terrorism.
And even if we decide to address human rights record, one needs to ask who are these who are clamoring for human rights? People residing outside the country cant be a stick for human rights. When Israel invades Gaza strip there are no human rights calls. Any nation which wants to stand on its own, needs to have their own yard sticks of human rights and law enforcement should not be compromised in its name.

h) Irresponsible Media

Medias role in nation building or destruction should not be undermined in democracy and which stands as one of pillars of nation.
Indian media has been really irresponsible these days. They clearly seem to be hand in glove with people who benefit from publishing news of deceit.
News these days sales only negative news nothing positive. News these days puts forward only the partial false not partial truth.

i) Indifferent citizens

We citizens need to awaken and realize where are our votes and work leading us to. We need to be involved more in the society to build the nation a strong nation.

j) Troublesome Neighbours

Our immediate neighbors are either on the verge of collapse or have no democratic government or have been traditional foe for no reason. We need to understand the problem from Neighbors is not due to religious beliefs but it is also because our nation is geographically ideally located and has huge amount of natural resources, which are quickly drying up for the nations who are helping/instigating our neighbors in the name of religion.

There are lot more points that need to be addressed, but this attack calls for taking note by each and everyone of citizens of India and analyse how our nation can be strengthened from whatever small contribution we can make.
