Whose to be blamed

There is a Letter to "Prime Minister" from an editor of TOI which is doing rounds in the email circles. It hardly is any worth the weight. It really reflects the poor state of Media in the country.
It just talks about things that we all know.. it doesnot talk about things like..
We the people of India are equally blamable.. as We are the ones who elect these members to parliament.. We dont educate the uneducated to understand the power of their vote... We the people turn blind eye to illegal conversions.. We the people of India talk about these incidents only when they happen and forget about it altogether... We the people of India dont raise voice against non performance of government... We the people of India dont stand united in condemning people who talk against our Nation.

Times group infact most of the media section now a days talks about things that people want to hear.. not what people need to hear..

Take for eg... Is there any section in media.. which has analysed.. what diff Chidambaram will make, replacing Shivraj patil.. Does his track record talk about his skills in Handling such situation.. and has media.. talked about need for PM also to quit over this incidence.
Why is PM not equally responsible to step down...

Why is media not talking about the execution of culprits of Parliament attack.
Why is there no talk about the small achivements of individuals in various fields?

Why was there out cry from Media about Killings of Chirstian Missinories.. and dead silence after Assam Blasts...
There were rallies from section of crowd against the killings but no peace marches against bomb blast in Assam...

There are lot of issues.. we really need to talk about as an educated class..

Democracy is self correcting, only if the people who are empowered to do so, are active.

We are in a quagmire.... right now and if there are no actions by individuals of society... we cannot improve the situation.

Take example of Thailand, the rigging in polls from the ruling goverment has been vehemently oppossed by the stake holders(people of the country). The ruling goverment has had to give in as a result.

Remember... Leaders come from society, they dont drop out from thin air.

If we talk about freedom and democracy learn to exercise it in daily life.
